Gloria Arnold, an administrative technician at UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center's Critical Care Unit, was recently awarded one of the medical center's People Who Care awards for her devotion to patients and staff. During the holidays, she made over 40 fleece blankets for our patients and staff. On top of making these blankets she checked in on each patient and let them pick which pattern they liked the most. This kind act helped make their time in the hospital over the holidays a little bit brighter. This is just an example of all the wonderful things she does on a daily basis to keep spirits up.

Each quarter, UM BWMC recognizes three employees as recipients of the People Who Care Award, which was established to acknowledge those individuals who perform their duties in an exemplary manner, demonstrate care and initiative and promote a positive image of the medical center.
