UM BWMC's Van Natten Honored with DAISY Award

Nurse Honored for Helping Patient

UM Baltimore Washington Medical Center's Becky Van Natten, RN, a nurse on the medical center's sixth floor was the hospital's Daisy Award winner for August 2019. Van Natten was nominated by co-workers for going out of her way to help a patient who has been in the hospital for many days. She took her time to gradually make the reluctant patient feel more comfortable with treatment and care.

The DAISY Award is an international program that rewards and celebrates the extraordinary, compassionate and skillful care given by nurses every day. DAISY Award honorees exemplify and demonstrate the UM BWMC nursing commitment to clinical excellence and compassionate care.

They are recognized as outstanding role models in the profession of nursing.
UM BWMC is proud to be a DAISY Award Partner, recognizing one of its nurses with this special honor each month.
