2-Alarm Fire Under Control in Lansdowne: Officials

Two people were evaluated for injuries after fire broke out at an apartment building, Baltimore County officials report.

LANSDOWNE, MD – Two people were receiving medical attention in connection with a two-alarm fire in Lansdowne Thursday, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.

After noon on Thursday, officials reported that two apartment buildings were ablaze in the 2400 block of Tionesta Road. By 1 p.m., authorities reported the fire had been knocked, and crews remained at the scene. At approximately 1:45 p.m., authorities said the fire had been declared under control.

As a result of the fire, one civilian and one firefighter were being evaluated for smoke-related injuries, according to authorities. The firefighter did not require medical transport, officials later said.
