3-Alarm Fire in Baltimore Highlands: Flames Surge Through Building
Annapolis Road was closed Tuesday afternoon as firefighters from three counties battled building blaze.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Firefighters are battling a three-alarm building blaze in the Baltimore Highlands Tuesday afternoon that has closed a road and sent one first responder to the hospital, according to Baltimore County public safety officials.
Crews were dispatched to the 4500 block of Annapolis Road in the Baltimore Highlands at 1:07 p.m., officials reported.
When they arrived, first responders said they found heavy fire conditions at the scene.

After 4 p.m., authorities reported Annapolis Road was closed between New York Avenue and the Anne Arundel County line.
Firefighters from Anne Arundel and Howard counties responded to the blaze to assist their counterparts in Baltimore County.

One firefighter was taken to the hospital with possible heat exhaustion, officials reported.
