Baltimore County Man Charged in Bathroom Peeping: Police

Detectives saw the peeping tom behavior at Columbia mall, Catonsville Home Depot and Security Square bathrooms, police said.

A man accused of following men into the restroom at The Mall in Columbia and trying to see their genitals is facing multiple charges, according to the Howard County Police Department.

Marc Scott Dawson, 48, of the 1900 block of Cross Trails Road in Windsor Mill, has been charged with three counts of peeping tom and three counts of visual surveillance with lustful intent from offenses on Aug. 11, online court records show.

The investigation began after a mall security guard told police that Dawson had been following young men into the public restroom and trying to see their genitals, according to the report from police.

Columbia mall surveillance footage showed Dawson going into the bathroom 31 times in two hours, the report said.

During their investigation, Howard County detectives followed Dawson into the Security Square Mall in Windsor Mill and Home Depot in Catonsville, where they saw him repeating the same behavior in the men’s restroom, according to the report.

At Home Depot, police said a juvenile was one of the subjects of Dawson’s surveillance.

Police arrested Dawson on Aug. 20. He was released from the Howard County Detention Center on $15,000 bail that day, according to police.

Dawson faces charges in both Howard and Baltimore counties, according to police.
