Body Found In Lansdowne IDed As Missing Teen: Police

Police said that a boy whose mother reported him missing was found deceased in the woods near his home.

LANSDOWNE, MD — A teen who was reported missing has been found deceased. Police said the body of the boy was recovered in the woods a block from his home.

Anthony Treon Assante Williams, 17, of the 400 block of Bigley Avenue, had been reported missing by his mother on Nov. 11, according to police. She said he had been depressed and disappeared on Nov. 9 without telling her where he was going.

It was not unusual for the teen to disappear for a day or so, but police said when he did not return after that, his mother reported him missing.

A passerby discovered the body near a wooded area in the 300 block of Bigley Avenue after 2 p.m. on Sunday, according to police. Authorities said that the decedent was Williams.

While the body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy, police said there did not appear to be any signs of foul play.
