A.I.A. Collected & Donated Nearly 40 Towels and Wash Cloths Today! Thank You!

Today I visited Southwest Emergency Services (SWES) which for some of you in our community that are not familiar with, its a non-profit organization located on Shelbourne Road in Arbutus.

As I toured the facility today I can not begin to tell you how ecstatic I was over how much good I saw this organization doing and what they do for so many people.  At the same time overwhelmed with how much help they truly need.  As I am pleased to report the Arbutus Improvement Association collected nearly a total of 40 towels and 30 wash cloths which were donated today I was at the same time saddened to see that the bins those towels went into were completely bare.  The help the facility needs in not only donations of things such as towels, wash clothes, food & clothes they are also in great need of volunteer help.  

You would not believe the amazing things this organization does for so many. 

I was shown shelves labeled “Baby Girl” and “Baby Boy,” which contained an assortment of layette sets which are given to a newly expected mother.  Amazed at the shelving unit of medical supplies in which are donated then given right back to someone in great need of. 

You would not believe it unless you saw it for yourself.   I encourage you to go there and visit before you trash something you don’t want anymore but  is perfectly ok for someone else less fortunate.  Everything is given right back to those in need.  

Thank you to all in our Arbutus community that helped donating those much needed towels and wash clothes!  I can not tell you how much that was appreciated!
