Slaughterhouses for Horses Coming Back to Maryland

Just as we think we are so cool, so informed, so green, so spiffy, so knowledgeable, so in touch with nature/environment/ another old sadness is new again….something like a song I once heard.  Slaughterhouses for horses and a huge discussion on how to kill them during the slaughter process.  So, so, so difficult you know…because horses don’t just stand still while you pound on their heads..so you drop something on their spines to break them and they fall immediately, unable to move.    OMG…these magnificent animals are once again going to join specific slaughter houses in Maryland?   And, guess what?  Several of our honorable political folks have agreed to it apparently….ever so quietly of course, but nonetheless the word is they have done so.  And guess what else…..let us just ask the simple question  WHY? WHY? WHY? my angels.

Of course…this happens in other countries, maybe other  parts of our own country…but my question is can we let it happen in Maryland?  I say NO,  I say a RESOUNDING NO!!! 

There are, of course, so many avenues for activists to call their own.  I can only hope and pray that there will be a strong anti-butchery of horses activism march that will rise up immediately to demand a stop to this sad, sad turn of events.

I am so beside myself over this, that I find it hard to come up with acceptable words that fully describe my despair that can also pass the OK of the editor.  Just when I think there might be the slightest hope that I might take a break from my opinionated run, something appears around the corner totally off my radar screen. 

To preserve some sense of verbal dignity (x#$%#%.....) I will step back a few paces, and pray human sensibilities will prevail in the meantime.  Where in the hell did this come from?…….….#$@$%@!
