The Lansdowne Improvement Association spent five hours on Saturday at Hillcrest Park on Third Avenue in Lansdowne. Two dumpsters were available for residents to deposit junk and trash before our Code Enforcement Community Sweep toward the end of June. We wish that more people would have taken advantage of the opportunity, but we tried.
We also cleaned up trash from around and within the lake. Approximately 30 bags of trash were gathered.
We would like to express our gratitude to the volunteers for their help and to the businesses for their generous donations.

We hope to do another clean up in the fall...in the meantime we hope that folks will remember to throw trash in the trash cans in order to keep our park and the lake clean. PLEASE DON'T LITTER....nurture nature :)

Our last general meeting will be held on June 11th, at 7:00 pm at the Sisters Academy Hall on Second Avenue in Lansdowne. We will not be meeting in July and August, but will resume meetings in September. Please consider becoming a member.. we need your help to make our community the best it can be !!
