HALETHORPE, MD – The man and woman who died in a murder-suicide Thursday have been identified as a couple in their 40s who lived together in Halethorpe, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Kristina Burris, 42, was found in front of the couple's home in the 4400 block of Fenor Road on Thursday morning, police said.

A neighbor said that Burris called police after Brilliantes slapped her, and as she tried to leave their row home through the front door, he shot her, according to ABC 2 News.
Police were dispatched to the 4400 block of Fenor Road at 8:49 a.m., officials reported. On the way there, authorities said they learned that an armed man had allegedly shot a woman.
When they arrived, authorities said the armed man was in the house and negotiators tried to get him to give himself up.
Nearby Baltimore Highlands Elementary School was placed on alert status during the standoff.
Around 10:45 a.m., tactical officers recovered the body of Burris from the front of the home.
At approximately 1:30 p.m., Brilliantes was seen lying on the floor, suffering from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was declared dead at the scene.
