Downed Power Lines Close I-195

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A stretch of Interstate 195 is closed Friday due to a crash involving power lines, officials said. Just before 10 a.m., authorities said I-195 was closed between the exits for Washington Boulevard and I-95.

Maryland State Police advised the road was expected to reopen by 1:30 p.m.

Crews closed the interstate to allow Verizon and Comcast to move the wires, which were communications lines.

The Arbutus Volunteer Fire Department reported it was at the scene Friday morning responding to the incident.
