UPDATED: Police Identify Popeyes Employee Found Dead at Restaurant

The woman's body was found in a back stock room, Anne Arundel County Police Department reported.

After the body of woman who worked at Popeyes in Brooklyn Park was found at the establishment on Sunday morning, authorities are investigating the death as a homicide, police said.

Luzviminda Monreal, 47, of Laurel, was found dead in the back stock room of the restaurant in the 5300 block of Ritchie Highway, according to a statement from the Anne Arundel County Police Department.

Officers were called at 8:08 a.m. on Sunday after a manager discovered the body upon opening the restaurant Sunday morning, police said.

Monreal had worked at the restaurant Saturday night, and it was unknown when the death occurred, according to police, who said it was unclear if the death was related to a robbery or other type of altercation.

The victim suffered significant trauma to her upper body, police told WNEW.

There were not any suspects, according to WJZ.
