Prep Softball: Vikings Steamroll Randallstown, Setup Rematch at Eastern Tech

Junior Maude McCourry tossed yet another no-hitter and the Vikings lineup exploded for 14 runs in the third inning, paving the way for a 20-0 2A North semifinal win over Randallstown and a return trip to take on Eastern Tech tomorrow. 

This will be Lansdowne’s third meeting with, what players and coaches call, their most hated rival.

The Vikings lost their last two meetings—a 2-0 regular season game and 5-3 Baltimore County Championship defeat—by a combined four runs.

“I really don’t like Eastern Tech,” senior Kelli Pease stated after the Vikings fell in the county championship.

Tomorrow at 1:30, Lansdowne will have its chance at redemption, along with a potential spot in the Class 2A State Semifinals.
