Throwback Thursday: What Baltimore County Businesses Do You Miss?
Patch Readers got nostalgic and told us which local businesses they wish never closed down.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD--While Giant Food stores offer convenient services and chain restaurants are plentiful, nothing beats a neighborhood coffee shop or family-owned hardware store.
Unfortunately, sometimes mom and pop can’t keep these shops open for one reason or another.
We asked Patch Readers in Baltimore County what extinct local business they’d bring back from the dead. Here’s a list of one-time favorites:

- “Berg’s. All the local farm stands that were in Perry Hall when I was a kid.”
- “I second Berg’s! My Pop Pop would take me there when I was a toddler.”
- “Cockeysville Cycles.”
- “Woolworth’s”
- “Sheas was nice”
- “I missed Little Caesars when they left for about a decade. Glad they came back.”
- “Village Subs. Their food was so good in the 80’s and straight through until they closed up”
- “Love craft!!!”
- “The Deli that was on the first floor of the mall by the escalator. I don’t remember what it was called but the food was awesome.”
