In Lansdowne Fire, Two Children Seriously Injured: Officials
Twelve families were displaced by blaze at apartment complex on Lakebrook Circle, Baltimore County police said.

LANSDOWNE, MD — Two children were rescued from an apartment fire in Lansdowne Friday afternoon, according to Baltimore County public safety officials. Both were hospitalized with serious injuries.
Crews were dispatched to a fire in the 2900 block of Lakebrook Circle at 1:26 p.m. Six minutes later, the blaze was upgraded to a second alarm, meaning more personnel were called to the scene.
First responders quickly located two children inside the residence where the fire occurred. A 6-year-old and 10-year-old child were rescued by Halethorpe firefighters and transported to the University of Maryland Medical Center and Johns Hopkins Children's Center for treatment, according to authorities.

Officials said that 12 families were displaced by the blaze, and the Red Cross was assisting them.
Investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire.
