Etiquette workshop at UMBC teaches the finer points of social graces.

UMBC’s Career Services Center held an annual business and dining etiquette dinner as part of Career Week. This event teaches students how to handle situations where business meets dining.

Carol Haislip, of the International School of Protocol, explained the finer points of formal dining – how to make small talk, how to order from a menu, and how to hold the correct utensil for each dish.

The goal of the dinner is to make students comfortable in business interview situations, which often involve a meal.
