Serial burglary suspect caught on camera during three Baltimore break-ins (shorenewsnetwork.com) โ€” Baltimore Police are asking residents to help identify a suspect linked to three burglaries between Aug. 8 and 11 in the Western District, along Eutaw Place and Madison Avenue. Surveillance images captured the same person at each scene, and detectives are seeking tips by phone or through Metro Crime Stoppers to move the investigation forward.

Baltimore nonprofit 4MyCiTy urgently seeks new space to continue food distributions (wbal.com) โ€” A Southwest Baltimore nonprofit that gives out free fresh food to about 350 people a day is being forced to relocate from its Wilson Drive site by the end of the month. 4MyCiTy is urgently seeking a new warehouse in or near Baltimore and donations to cover an estimated $150,000 in moving costs so it can keep serving local families.

Maryland's $536M digital ad tax ruling: What it means for taxpayers (foxbaltimore.com) โ€” Maryland's digital advertising tax has been struck down by the state Tax Court, wiping out a planned $536 million revenue source that was meant to help fund Kโ€“12 education reforms. Economists told the Baltimore Sun they disagree on how much this will pressure future taxes, spending, or borrowing for Maryland residents.

University of Maryland professor denied bond, remains in ICE custody (wbal.com) โ€” A University of Maryland School of Pharmacy professor remains in ICE custody after a judge denied bond, despite support from colleagues and concerns about the impact on students this fall. The case, closely watched by Baltimore-area viewers of WBAL, centers on his expired J-1 visa and leaves his future hearings still unscheduled.
