The move follows claims of overcrowding and inadequate medical care, and the judge is weighing appointing a monitor to ensure compliance with her earlier order.
3. East Baltimore's Crown Cork & Seal Redevelopment Targets $500 Million in Investment (citybiz.co) — Baltimore officials are weighing a new tax-increment financing district to support a $500 million redevelopment of the former Crown Cork & Seal campus on Eastern Avenue, one of East Baltimore's largest industrial sites. 4. Son of employee at Baltimore prosecutor's office indicted in child rape cases (wbal.com) — A Baltimore City man, the son of a high-ranking employee in the city State's Attorney's Office, faces two separate indictments alleging the rape of 13-year-old girls and is due in court Thursday. Because of the family connection, Baltimore County prosecutors are handling the case and plan to present expert witnesses and evidence of prior alleged assaults in Baltimore City and County dorm rooms.
