1 Killed, 3 Injured In Edgewood Shooting: Harford County Sheriff

A 29-year-old Harford County man was fatally shot, officials said, while three others were treated for gunshot wounds at area hospitals.

EDGEWOOD, MD — One man died and three other people were injured in a shooting Thursday night in Edgewood, according to authorities.

"At this time, we do not believe this to be a random incident or that there is a threat to the greater community," the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Friday.

Four people were shot in the 1700 block of Crimson Way in Edgewood, where deputies were called at 10:10 p.m. on Thursday for a reported shooting, according to the sheriff's office.

Charles Robert Pugh, Jr., 29, of Edgewood was pronounced deceased after he was flown to the University of Maryland R Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, the Harford County Sheriff's Office reported Friday.

Pugh and a 31-year-old Aberdeen woman had been shot multiple times in their upper bodies at the location, according to officials.

While they were at the scene, investigators said they were informed a 39-year-old man had walked into the emergency room at Harford Memorial Hospital in Havre de Grace after being shot multiple times in the upper body.

A fourth gunshot wound victim was identified Friday afternoon after he went to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Center in Bel Air on his own for treatment, the sheriff's office reported. The 37-year-old lives in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, according to court records, which indicate he used to live in Baltimore.

Officials said they determined he was injured in the Crimson Way shooting.

All three surviving victims suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening, according to the sheriff's office.

"Detectives have worked tirelessly overnight to collect evidence, interview witnesses, review video footage of the incident, and follow up on leads," authorities said Friday.
