11 Calls In 10 Hours For Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company

There were multiple emergencies that the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company handled overnight from Friday into Saturday, an official said.

BEL AIR, MD — It was a busy night for the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. During a 10-hour period from Friday night through Saturday morning, the volunteers handled eight EMS calls, two fires and one crash.

The crash happened in the 1700 block of Churchville Road, according to Rich Gardiner of the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company. There were minor injuries as a result of the collision, he said.

On Saturday morning, crews also handled a truck fire, which Gardiner said is under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.

In all, he said, the Bel Air Volunteer Fire Company responded to 11 calls between 11 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 22, and 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23.
