11 Children, Adult Hospitalized After Bus And Van Crash: Maryland State Police
Eleven children and an adult were taken to the hospital after a school bus and a van crashed on MD 924 and Bel Air South Parkway.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A school bus transporting children was involved in a crash Monday shortly before 8:30 a.m.
According to the Maryland State Police, the crash between a KinderCare 15 passenger mini-bus and a Honda Accord happened on MD 924 and Bel Air South Parkway. Ten children were taken to the University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Medical Center in Bel Air. The driver of the Accord involved in the crash and a 1-year-old child also were taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
According to a preliminary investigation, the bus was traveling northbound on MD 924 while the Honda was traveling southbound on MD 924. The Honda was attempting to make a left turn onto Laurel Bush Road and failed to yield to the right of way, subsequently causing the bus to crash into the passenger side of the Honda, according to the state police.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
