12-Foot Shark Cruises Ocean City

The tiger shark, which is tagged with research tracker, was swimming in the Isle of Wight Bay over the weekend.

A 12-foot tiger shark was spotted in the Isle of Wight Bay Friday at Ocean City, spooking some swimmers.

Global shark tracker OCEARCH says the shark, named Septima, weighs about 1,000 pounds, reports FOX DC.

The female shark was last located in South Carolina in May. Since then it has traveled more than 3,000 miles up and down the East Coast.

According to OCEARCH’s Twitter feed, Septima pinged offshore near Atlantic City Monday morning.
