19 Thefts From Vehicles In Fallston Under Investigation
In one of the cases, Harford County officials said the thief pepper-sprayed someone who approached.

FALLSTON, MD — Authorities are investigating nearly 20 thefts from vehicles in Fallston. As officials look into the crimes, they remind residents to lock their car doors and put away their valuables.
There were 19 thefts from vehicles over about a two-month period in Fallston, according to the Harford County Sheriff's Office. In some cases, doors were unlocked; but in others, officials said the thieves smashed windows to get into vehicles.
Additional crimes were connected with the thefts — an assault, attempted burglary and vandalism — officials reported.

In the assault, authorities said that the suspect pepper-sprayed someone who confronted the thief as the person was rummaging through a vehicle in the 2500 block of Port Lane in Fallston.
"All the incidents are under investigation," the Harford County Sheriff's Office said in a statement Monday. "At this time, it is unclear if they are related."
