19-Year-Old Arrested After Pointing Gun At 14-Year-Old: Aberdeen Police

ABERDEEN, MD — A 19-year-old has been arrested in the Jan. 7 assault of a 14-year-old during an argument, according to a police report.

Aberdeen Police launched the investigation Jan. 14 after officers received a report that Da-mon Nyree Griffin pointed a handgun at a 14-year-old during an argument. On Feb. 12 detectives executed a search warrant at Griffin's home on Truman Street where they recovered a stolen 9 mm Sig Sauer handgun from his bedroom, the police department said.

Griffin has been arrested and charged with first-degree assault and multiple firearm-related offenses. He was held without bond following his initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner, police said.
