1K Gallons Of Sewage Leaks Into Bush River

County health officials reported that 1,600 gallons of sanitary sewage leaked into Bush River after an overflow happened in Belcamp.

BELCAMP, MD — Residents are asked to steer clear of an area along Golden Eagle Way and Bush River for a bit after the county health department received a report Tuesday of a sanitary sewage overflow along that road.

The overflow happened Monday around 1:20 p.m. The overflow was stopped around 6:40 p.m. that same day and cleanup efforts started.

The overflow released approximately 1,600 gallons of raw sewage into the Bush River, officials said.

Signs have been posted and the ground limed to disinfect the area.
