$1M Winning Scratch-Off Ticket Cements Retirement For Harford County Man
A Harford County man has won $1 million on a scratch-off ticket that he plans to save for his retirement.
HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A regular fan of scratch-off tickets, the newest millionaire in Maryland nabbed the $1 million top prize on the $20 Hot 777 scratch-off bought in April at Fallston Liquors.
The third instant ticket he scratched off was the big winner.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was in shock. I am still in shock,” he told the Maryland Lottery.

The lucky player has only told his wife and his lawyer about this big win. He works in manufacturing and is nearing retirement. Since he has already paid off his home mortgage, the loyal lotto player plans to save his winnings.
“This money will go toward my retirement,” he said.

His lottery retailer, Fallston Liquors, located at 1702 Harford Road in Fallston, will receive a $1,000 bonus from the lottery for selling a $1 million top-prize winning scratch-off.
