Adults Face Charges After Shooting At A Kid, Trying To Run Over Other Kids: Police

A man and woman face attempted murder charges after police say they shot at a kid and tried to run over other kids who were in a fight.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Two adults have been arrested and charged with attempted murder after police say they fired at a juvenile and tried to run over other kids who were involved in a fight with the woman's child.

According to the Aberdeen Police Department, 42-year-old Desiree Robertson and 44-year-old Gary Davenport drove to a shopping plaza a 1012 Beards Hill Road Aug. 11 to pick up Robertson's child and two other juveniles who was involved in a fight at a business at the shopping plaza. The other juveniles who were involved in the fight were still in the parking lot, according to the police department.

Witnesses saw Robertson drive her car erratically at those juveniles in what appeared to be an attempt to run them down. Davenport was in the front passenger seat and fired a single round from a gun at one juvenile that was running away.

Robertson and Davenport have been charged with first-degree murder, attempted second-degree murder, assault and other weapons violations.
