2 Killed in New Year's Day ATV Crash: Harford Sheriff

The cause of the double fatal crash is under investigation.

PYLESVILLE, MD -- Two men died in an ATV crash on New Year’s Day in Pylesville, according to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:57 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 1, deputies responded to the 2100 block of Telegraph Road near Eden Mill Road in Pylesville, where two ATVs had collided, the sheriff’s office reported.

Timothy Gene Phillips, 37, of Pasadena, and William Norman Womble, 37, of Glen Burnie, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to the report.

The pair, who knew one another, had been celebrating the new year at a residence near the crash site, officials said.

They were riding the ATVs together, headed north on Telegraph Road, when they collided. Members of the Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company declared Phillips and Womble deceased at the scene, according to the sheriff’s office.

Deputies are investigating the cause of the fatal collision.
