Why are you seeking this office?
Over the past two terms, I am proud of the accomplishments of the Office of Sheriff in our County. Record low crime and high community satisfaction with the services provided by our Office, are the result of the dedicated work of me and my command team and the tireless effort of the great men and women at the Sheriff’s office. Although we have accomplished much working with our community and government partners, there is still much I wish to accomplish for our citizens. At the top of this list is maintaining the high level of support for our men and women and remaining proactive in the crime fight while growing our Office to meet the County’s needs. Part of this growth is the new Central Precinct, scheduled for opening in 2024.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
“Just because it is not your way, it does not mean it’s the wrong way.” I have remembered this advice given to me by my supervisor after I received my first promotion to a supervisory position. Having a position where one’s vision sets the direction of an agency, it is sometimes necessary to remind yourself that there may be more than one way to accomplish the set goal.
