$2K In Stolen Merchandise Found, 3 Arrested: Bel Air Police
Bel Air police responded to a tip from a caller who followed theft suspects from the Dick's in Baltimore County to Dick's on Macphail Road.

BEL AIR, MD — Police said three shoplifters who struck Dick's Sporting Goods near White Marsh were arrested Saturday afternoon in Bel Air. One of the suspects was found trying to hide in a bathroom, according to authorities.
Thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise was recovered, according to the Bel Air Police Department.
Officers in Bel Air intervened after a witness called authorities and reported three people who stole from Dick's Sporting Goods in the 5200 block of Campbell Boulevard; police said the witness followed the trio to the 500 block of West Macphail Road, near the Weis and Dick's Sporting Goods in Bel Air.

The Bel Air Police Department received the call at 2:59 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 16, with information about the theft suspects and vehicle.
When officers arrived, the suspects tried to run, and two were taken into custody in the parking lot, police reported.

"One suspect attempted to hide in the bathroom of Patient First," the Bel Air Police Department said in a statement. "That suspect was also taken into custody."
Officers from Baltimore County took custody of the detainees.
Nobody was injured, according to police, who said $2,000 worth of merchandise was found.
