2nd Annual Performance of The Scarecracker - A Halloween Sweet
A new Halloween performance comes to Harford County. Join us this weekend, Oct. 24 and 25, at C. Milton Wright High School.
This October, Forest Hill Dance and Harford County’s newest dance company, The Danse Macabre, will present the 2nd annual performances of an original dance theatre production. Featuring ballet, contemporary, pointe, hip-hop and tap, The Scarecracker - A Halloween Seet will delight audience members of all ages.
The creative team of Shana O’Brien, Todd Mion, Lisa Mion, Jessica Treherne and Danielle Forgione met while collaborating on Harford Dance Theatre’s Harriet’s Happiest Halloween. Todd was one of the original creators of HHH in 1986 and served as script writer, co-script writer, lighting designer, scenic designer and sound designer for 19 productions of that show. Lisa Mion has participated in 20 productions of HHH as a performer, choreographer and co-script writer. Jessica Treherne served as the Artistic Director/Producer of Harford Dance Theatre and also as a choregrapher and co-script writer for HHH from 2002-2012. Danielle Forgione and Shana O’Brien served as co-directors, choreographers and co-script writers of HHH from 2009-2012. Additional choreographers Linda O’Brien, Amy Ferrigno and Christi Janney-Greenawalt complete the artistic staff.
The team decided they wanted to bring dance performance of a dark and spooky nature to Harford County and provide more performing opportunities for the community’s actors and dancers. Under the direction of Shana O’Brien, the result is The Scarecracker - A Halloween Sweet - a humorous, spooky and unique full-length production featuring original verse, diverse choreography and over 50 of the community’s talented dancers!

Performance locations: C. Milton Wright High School (1301 N. Fountain Green Road, Bel Air, MD). Friday, October 24, 2014 at 7P and 3P & 7P Saturday, October 25, 2014. Tickets are available online at foresthilldance.ticketleap.com. $15 for adults, $10 for children <17. A special group rate of $8/ticket is available for the Saturday 3P if purchasing 10+ tickets. Tickets will be available for sale at the door
