3 Generations Take A Gamble On Lotto Tickets, Score $30K
An Abingdon woman won $30K while scratching lotto tickets with her father and grandmother, a family activity they enjoy together.
ABINGDON, MD — A Harford County woman, her father and her grandmother all enjoy scratching lottery tickets and that togetherness fueled them to a $30,000 win.
“As often as we can, we meet up to scratch a few tickets together,” the Abingdon resident said.
When it was their dad's turn to buy the tickets, he picked up Diamond Bingo tickets.

“Grandma and I love bingo games, so we asked him to look for those,” she said.
They hunkered down and started scratching away. Much to their surprise, the Harford County woman uncovered a $1,000 win on her ticket. But her grandmother thought it was more. So her dad drove to a nearby lottery retailer to scan the ticket. He called her immediately to share what the windfall really was.

“I was ready for it not to be a winner at all, so when he said $30,000, I about lost my mind," the Abingdon woman said.
