$30K Lotto Ticket Win Will Pad Darlington Man's Savings Account

DARLINGTON, MD — A Harford County resident recently nabbed $30,000 playing the Maryland Lottery's 30X Cash game.

One day after work, the Darlington resident popped by Royal Farms on his way home to buy a ticket. The first ticket he bought won a small amount, so he used those winnings to turn around buy another ticket that yielded the $30,000 winning.

“I couldn’t believe I won, I hurried home to tell my wife,” the winner told Maryland Lottery officials when he claimed his prize at headquarters.

Although he hasn't ultimately decided what to do with his winnings, the man and his wife plan to save up most of it.

The Royal Farms at 10740 Pulaski Highway in White Marsh receives a $300 bonus from the Maryland Lottery for selling the winning ticket.
