$30K Lotto Win Thrills Bel Air Woman

BEL AIR, MD — A Harford County woman who has played Maryland Lottery games for years was stunned when she won $30,000 on a Diamond Bingo scratch-off ticket.

She told Maryland Lottery officials that while she's happy to win a few dollars here and there, the big win was exhilarating. She bought that specific ticket because she enjoys playing bingo as much as she does lottery games, she said.

The Bel Air woman took her daughter out for dinner to celebrate with her winnings, but had no other big plans for her windfall, she said.

The avid player bought the ticket at Cheers Wine & Spirits at 100 North Tollgate Road in Bel Air, which will receive a $300 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
