4 Ambulances, Helicopter Called To Route 40 Crash: Officials
A serious crash required emergency medical transport from Pulaski Highway in Joppa, officials said.

JOPPA, MD — A serious crash on US 40 Thursday sent several people to the hospital, officials said, requiring several ambulances and a helicopter.
At 4:10 p.m., officials said they were at the scene of a serious crash in the 500 block of Pulaski Highway.
Three vehicles were involved in the collision, transportation officials said.

Four ambulances and a helicopter responded, landing at the Joppa-Magnolia helipad, the fire company reported.
Route 40 east was blocked from Joppa Farm to Joppa Road as of 5 p.m.

The Maryland State Highway Administration said by 6 p.m., all lanes had reopened.
