$50K Powerball Ticket Sold In Abingdon

ABINGDON, MD — Did you buy a Powerball ticket at the 7-Eleven in Abingdon this week? It may be time to check the numbers.

A $50,000 Powerball ticket was sold Friday, July 17, at the convenience store at 3508 Philadelphia Road in Abingdon, according to Maryland Lottery officials.

It was unclaimed as of Monday, authorities reported.

The Powerball player isn't the only lotto winner in Harford County this week.

Someone who purchased a 2020 Cash game at Cliff's Liquors also scored a five-figure win. That person already claimed the $20,200 prize after purchasing the ticket at the store at 4725 Conowingo Road.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, lottery claims of $25,000 or more can be redeemed by appointment only at the Maryland Lottery headquarters at 1800 Washington Blvd., Baltimore, MD 21230.

For prizes up to and including $25,000, winners can claim them at five of Maryland’s six casinos with no appointment necessary. See more information about how to claim prizes.
