60 MPH Wind Gusts In Harford, Baltimore County: Weather Officials
BREAKING: Baltimore and Harford counties are under a severe thunderstorm warning Halloween night.
Severe thunderstorms with powerful wind gusts are blowing through Harford and Baltimore counties Halloween night. Due to the potential damage, the National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 11 p.m.
A line of severe thunderstorms extended from near Rock Spring to Riverside in Harford County at 10:30 p.m., moving northeast at 50 mph, according to the warning.
Radar indicated 60 mph wind gusts, which could cause trees to fall, injuring those on roads, in homes or in vehicles.

During the severe thunderstorm warning period, people should go inside to stay safe and move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building.
Do not drive underneath wooded areas until the threat has passed, as trees and branches may fall. Roads may become blocked by downed trees, and localized power outages are possible, according to the warning.

These areas may be affected, the weather service said: Middle River, Aberdeen, Havre de Grace, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Bel Air South, Bel Air North, Perry Hall, Rosedale, Rossville, White Marsh, Fallston, Bowleys Quarters, Riverside, Kingsville, Pleasant Hills, Jarrettsville, Perryman, Edgewood, Joppatowne and Pylesville.
A tornado watch remains in effect until midnight, officials warned.
"Remain alert for a possible tornado! Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms," the severe thunderstorm warning said. "If you spot a tornado go at once into the basement or small central room in a sturdy structure. For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building."
A wind advisory is in effect until 4 a.m. Friday.
