7 Agencies Unite For National Night Out In Harford County

Multiple fire and law enforcement agencies celebrated National Night Out in Harford County on Tuesday, Aug. 7.

ABERDEEN, MD — The Harford County Sheriff's Office and Bel Air Police Department were some of the many agencies celebrating National Night Out at the Target in Aberdeen on Tuesday, Aug. 7. Recognized the first Tuesday in August, National Night Out is a community-building event celebrated in hundreds of neighborhoods nationwide.

Many communities hold street parties with local law enforcement, and residents turn on their front porch lights to help reduce crime.

At the Aberdeen Target, the Harford County National Night Out festivities included seven police and fire agencies, three community organizations and local food trucks. Entertainment included a dunk tank, cotton candy table and snow cone table and face painting.

The National Night Out was from 5 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 7, at the Aberdeen Target, 1025 Middleton Road, in Aberdeen.
