87-Year-Old Carjacked Near Bel Air Plaza: Police

Two suspects with a gun forced a man from his car near the shopping center Tuesday morning, Bel Air Police Department reported.

BEL AIR, MD — An 87-year-old man was carjacked at gunpoint Tuesday morning near the Bel Air Plaza, according to the Bel Air Police Department.

Police said the man was in his BMW around 5:48 a.m. near the Kelly Avenue entrance to the shopping center when two men forced him out of his car. They were armed with a black handgun, authorities reported.

The victim was not injured.

His vehicle was described as a black 3 series BMW made in 2015, with four doors and Maryland tag 04091AE.

When officers responded to the scene, they found a vehicle in the parking lot that had been reported stolen in an armed carjacking in Baltimore City last week, on Thursday, Aug. 11, police said.
