Abingdon 7-Eleven Robbed at Gunpoint Tuesday: Police

A reward of up to $2,000 in cash is offered for information in the robbery case, according to Maryland State Police.

ABINGDON, MD — Authorities are asking for help identifying the man suspected in an armed robbery at the Abingdon 7-Eleven Tuesday morning.

At 5:47 a.m., police responded to the store in the 3500 block of Philadelphia Road for a report of a holdup.

A man had requested cigarettes, pulled out a gun and demanded cash, according to Maryland State Police.

The suspect was described as an African-American man who was 200 pounds and between 5'5" and 5'8" tall. After receiving an undisclosed amount of cash, he left on foot, police said.

Anyone who may know the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Metro Crime Stoppers.

There is a cash reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest.
