Abingdon Bank Robbed, Suspect at Large: Sheriff

There is a reward of up to $2,000 for information about the man who robbed bank on Emmorton Road.

A bank in Abingdon was robbed Wednesday afternoon, and the Harford County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help finding the suspect.

Deputies canvassed the area with assistance from state troopers and K-9 officers but were unable to locate the suspect who robbed Har-Co Credit Union in the 3400 block of Emmorton Road, according to the sheriff’s office.

Authorities said that before 2 p.m. on Wednesday, the suspect approached the teller at the Har-Co Credit Union, implied he had a weapon and demanded money.

He left with an undisclosed amount of cash, according to the sheriff’s office.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late 30s who was about 5’8” tall and 180 pounds.

Officials said his face was covered, and he was wearing a dark jacket and dark pants.

A cash reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information. To be eligible, tipsters must use one of the following methods for submitting tips: send a tip online through Harford County Sheriff’s Office; text the tip to Metro Crime Stoppers at 274637 with “MCS” plus the message; or call Harford Crime Solvers at 1-888-540-8477.
