Abingdon Retailer Sold $50K Powerball Ticket: MD Lottery

Did you buy a lottery ticket in Abingdon? One Powerball ticket sold in Harford County for the March 20 drawing was a five-figure winner.

ABINGDON, MD — Three people who purchased Powerball tickets in Maryland for the March 20 drawing were $50,000 winners, according to the Maryland Lottery. One of the lucky tickets came from Abingdon.

Now lottery officials are urging the winners to come forward, since none of the three has claimed their prize money.

In Abingdon, the $50,000 winning ticket was sold at the Beverage Barn at 3000 Emmorton Road. According to lottery officials, the ticket matched four of the first five numbers as well as the Powerball number.

For the March 20 drawing, the winning numbers were 10, 14, 50, 53 and 63 with the Powerball 21 and Power Play multiplier 2.

Lottery officials give this advice:

  • Sign the back of the ticket immediately.
  • Store it in a safe place until claiming the prize.
  • Claim the prize within 182 days of the drawing. Go to the Maryland Lottery headquarters, 1800 Washington Boulevard, in Baltimore.

So far in 2019, Maryland retailers have sold 17 Powerball tickets that qualified for the $50,000 prize, according to the Maryland Lottery.


In addition to Beverage Barn, officials said two other Maryland stores sold wining $50,000 tickets for the March 20 drawing:

  • 7-Eleven, 529 North Charles Street, Baltimore
  • Food Rite, 308 East Market Street, Snow Hill
