Abingdon Townhouse Fire Burns One, Official Says

The fire marshal was investigating what caused the blaze in Abingdon Friday.

ABINGDON, MD - One person was burned in a fire in Abingdon Friday, officials said.

The blaze began around 5 p.m. in the kitchen at a residence in the 100 block of Long Meadow Court, according to Jenn Chenworth, spokeswoman for the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.

Crews arrived and brought the fire under control in five minutes, Chenworth said.

One person at the house suffered minor burns, according to Chenworth, who said the cause of the blaze was under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
