After Bike Crash, Child Flown to Hospital: Officials
A crash in Abingdon injured boy Monday afternoon, Harford County emergency personnel reported.

ABINGDON, MD – A child was flown to a regional trauma center in serious condition following a bike crash in Abingdon Monday afternoon, according to the Harford County Volunteer Fire and EMS Association.
The Abingdon Fire Company responded to a child who had fallen from a bicycle on Laurel Valley Garth at Yellow Brick Court at 4:35 p.m. on Monday, the association reported.
Officials said the child my have suffered a serious head injury and was taken by medevac to a regional trauma center for treatment.

The 10-year-old was not wearing a helmet and hit his head while riding his bike, the victim's sister told Patch.
Workers on a trash truck witnessed the boy fall from his bicycle and stayed with him until emergency personnel arrived, holding his head and helping him to remain conscious and alert, his sister said.

The sixth grader was undergoing testing at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center and did not have any broken bones, his sister told Bel Air Patch Monday evening.
