HARFORD COUNTY, MD — Firefighters with the Harford County Fire/EMS and other volunteer companies responded to a call for backup Monday to battle a commercial building fire in Delta, Pennsylvania.
According to the Delta-Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company Station 57, Captain 57 arrived to find a vehicle on fire, which had spread to the building. Everyone inside the building had evacuated before the windows blew out.
Crews battled the blaze from the outside and opened up the roof of the building and tackled flames on the inside from up above. York County and Harford County firefighters spent 1.5 hours reigning in the fire, followed up watching hotspots and cleanup.
The building, located in the 6900 block of Delta Road, is occupied by M&T Bank.
Mutual aid out of Maryland was provided by the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company, Jarrettsville Volunteer Fire Company, Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company, Darlington Volunteer Fire Company and The Bel Air Fire Company.
