HARFORD COUNTY, MD — This year's Annual Juried Student Art and Design Exhibition featuring works from Harford Community College students will run May 6-29.
The exhibit will take place in Dr. James & Lynne LaCalle Chesapeake Gallery located in the Chesapeake Welcome Center.
The artists will be celebrated, along with a juror's talk, at an opening reception May 7 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in the Chesapeake Gallery. The Salon de Refuses, featuring work that wasn't accepted into the juried exhibition, will immediately follow in Joppa Hall from 6:45 to 8:45 p.m.
A guest juror selects the artwork to be exhibited from work submitted by students each year. This year’s guest juror is Matthew Moore, the director of education and interpretation at the Academy Art Museum in Easton. He is an artist, curator, educator and community organizer, according to organizers.
Gallery hours are Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is closed on weekends and major holidays.
