EDGEWOOD, MD — A man eluding police crashed into four other vehicles Tuesday afternoon, causing a fiery collision that ultimately killed the driver.
Harford County sheriff's deputies with the crime suppression unit saw a suspected drug transaction unfold on Meadowood Drive. Deputies attempted to stop the suspect vehicle, which had multiple vehicle violations, near Long Bar Harbor. But the driver refused to stop, police said.
The driver continued eastbound on Route 40 through the intersection of Bata Boulevard. When he entered the intersection of Route 40 and Route 543 and crashed into four vehicles. The suspect driver was trapped inside the vehicle and died in the crash.
The Attorney General’s Independent Investigative Division will be investigating the incident.
