ABERDEEN, MD — A South Carolina man was arrested in Aberdeen June 30 after police say he had a loaded gun, cash and illegal drugs in his vehicle.
The Aberdeen Police Department reported July 10 that officers stopped the vehicle after the driver committed a traffic violation near the intersection of Rogers and Custis streets.
During the traffic stop, a police K-9 signaled to the officers that drugs were in the vehicle. A search resulted in the seizure of a loaded Glock 20 handgun, more than 50 suspected controlled substance pills and in excess of $2,000 in U.S. cash.
The driver, Robert Davis, 28, of Columbia, South Carolina, was arrested without incident. Davis has been charged with CDS possession with intent to distribute, firearm possession during a drug trafficking crime, loaded handgun on person and other related charges. Davis was later released on bond.
