HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A heat advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service for Howard County, which runs from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
The heat index could reach up to 105 degrees, the NWS stated.
Harford County public libraries will be open regular hours and can be used as a cooling center.
Voices of Hope-Harford, which is located at 7 Aberdeen Shopping Plaza in Aberdeen also will be open as a cooling center from 3 to 6 p.m.
People Inspiring People, located at 3709 Pulaski Highway, Unit 8, in Abingdon, will be open Wednesday and Thursday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will double as a cooling center.
Fortify by LASOS, 1819 Suite D, Pulaski Highway in Edgewood, will be open as a cooling center as will the Salvation Army, 300 Seneca Ave., Havre de Grace.
