HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A busy mom from Harford County took the time to play Racetrax, a computer-animated horse racing game, and ended up winning $56,435.
The stay-at-home mom and her husband stopped by Maryland Lottery headquarters to claim her prize and said they couldn't believe she'd won.
She described herself as a casual player of Racetrax and had placed a $1 Superfecta bet with the multiplier bonus option using the numbers 4, 6, 9 and 11. The total ticket price for 10 races was $48.
"I almost fell over. I couldn't believe it," the Harford County woman said,
The Harford County mom told lottery officials her husband would like for her to use the winnings and buy a minivan, but they haven't decided just yet what to do with their windfall.
The winning ticket was purchased at Mimi's Liquor Station at 12010 Rousby Hall Road in Lusby. The Calvert County retailer will receive a 1 percent bonus of $564.35 for selling the winning Racetrax ticket.
